Default Aloha from Connecticut!

Or hello works better I guess...

Visiting for some advice from you Fordy types if you're willing

My Fiancee's kid has a relatively beat up 1994 Ford 150 (5.0 engine) that he absolutely loves. He's graduating from high school in a month and I told him I was going to do something funky to his car.

Little background, I'm big into Volkswagens (sorry!) and I love to modify mine, so he automatically assumes I know everything there is about different cars.

To be honest, I don't know a damn thing about trucks, they're a whole different world. I've read some about the modifications you can make such as something called the "Gotts Mod" and so on, but I'm looking to pop out some relatively easy, low-priced things to do for him and then I'll give him a 'big' present -- He wants a Cherry Bomb exhaust...

But anyhow, any advice is welcome, he has a modless truck at the moment, none of the basics like a CAI, exhaust, etc. -- The kid likes loud. The louder I can make this thing, the better.

Thanks for your help guys!

My brother is a Volkswagen guy. I don't know what's the matter with him.

Forget what your referring to as a CAI Mod on your MAP engine. A K&N drop in will due fine. Do a ignition system upgrade, to allow stretching your gap. Then further advance base time from 10 BTDC to 14-16 BTDC. http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/show...ht=timing+bump & https://www.f150forum.com/f10/about-...ng-bump-53159/ Added performance & MPG!

Awesome, thank you! I take it his truck doesn't have an MAF, huh? That's a crapfest.
