Default Almost dies when putting in reverse or drive

I put in a new cam with a different firing order than the original one it said it was for a 1992 302 but in the Haynes book it says that the new firing order is for a 1995 or newer 5.0 and 5.8 but now after listening to it from a distance it sounds great like the motor sounds strong and right so it might be the transmission or brakes cause it just ain't getting any power

My 89 does that but it does it anytime the truck is jarred but I know mines the ignition cylinder. Is it like a bogged Down type of dying? Or a strait full power then almost none.

How was the motor before the cam change? What cam is it for? Is it a speed density cam or a mass air cam? Does the truck roll free? The trans should not hold the truck back especially in all gears, if the cam you got has a different firing order than the old one that came out, it is most likely an HO cam in which your speed density ecu might not be keeping up with the cam.
