Default Air Pump delete

I have a 1990 Ford F150 XLT Lariat 4.9L (with AC)
I'm wanting to remove the air pump and install an air pump eliminator bracket and idler pulley. I can't seem to find a matching bracket. Any ideas or links to a compatible bracket?

Why? The truck will not run better or more-reliably or at a lower cost-per-mile when you rip stuff off.

Why not it's his truck? Use the search feature here or on the other F150 Forums. That's how I figured out how to find the right belt diagram and belt length for my 94 with the 5.0L. You can gut the pump too by taking it apart, and use the same bracket and pulley with the stock belt. It will take some work, but can be done. Good luck.

It will run better in the sense of one less piece of early-80s crap bolted on...

Same with smog and MAP.

You can just drop the pump and get a shorter belt, run it the way the diagram shows without air conditioning. Mines been without the shot pump for three years runs fine without it

Because helping people destroy these trucks isn't what this forum is supposed to do.

The whole truck is made of "early-80s crap", so if that seems sensible to you, then the only sensible thing to do is take every original part off (including the frame) and replace it all.

Well, to put it in terms you can comprehend: I guess it'd be a lot like knowing nothing, but the opposite.

Lol. Mine was taken off because my new head had the air line removed and blocked. Took off the Egr, removed the smog and most of the vaccine lines that dumped to a bad smog motor that dumped to nothing. Only thing I’ve left on it is the cats and those are coming off when I have to replace the clutch. May not make it run any different, but makes it a whole lot easier to get to everything that matters. Air,fire, fuel. The way a vehicle should be. Liberals shouldn’t be aloud in the auto industry.
