air intake

Default air intake

i have a 96 f150 ive looked everywhere for an air intake and now one has one i have dual throttle body and the intake goes from two tubes to one tube then into the filter and then theres another tube that comes up on to the front of the engine bay to suck in more air anyone know where i can find a intake

Have you checked at the K&N site? They have the cold air kit for you vehicle. Volant also does kits for the 5.0l, just not the 5.8L that I have. Either one should make you happy.

Those intakes can be very expensive. Do what I did if you have the time, make your own. I will get some pics up here in a few.

I made this out of exhaust piping. 3" main tube, with 2 2.25" pipes welded into a Y welded to the 3". Stuck a cone filter on it and was done.

Looks like welded pipe with some 90 deg high temp tubing, hose clams and a K&N filter. Do you not have a mass air flow sensor or did you delete it? Looks pretty good though. It almost looks like you ordered the setup from somewhere.

k what about the mass air flow sensor i dont see it in the pic what u do with that and does that thing u made help at all

Mine was a 93 so there wasn't a MAF on it. But I simply ordered the rubber couplers from Ebay. 45 deg couplers, and a 45 degree pipe for the y connector.

Speed density. I think all fords have speed density problems. Basically, they're fast and heavy. :P
