My torch bottles are under the welder.

should get at least 1/2" and the truck should take a lot more weight to make it sit where it normally would. my 81 d150 takes about 3000lbs to make it sit level. not sure what would happen if i try raising the front end a bit to match.

Thanks! Ya it works excellent! The whole setup is built on a 2"x2" square tube skid unit.
So if I ever want to remove it you pull 2 bolts and a plug (for the lights) hook on too the welder and it all comes up and out. Welder, tool boxes and head ache rack all as one.

i think i have heard of people using those stock add a leaf kits off a d250 on a 150 to increase hauling capacity and i think they might have also lifted the trucks a bit. i think rock auto has a kit that is similar to the stock setup off a d250

The trailblazers are great welders! A good friend of mine has one on his dodge and loves it.
