should get at least 1/2" and the truck should take a lot more weight to make it sit where it normally would. my 81 d150 takes about 3000lbs to make it sit level. not sure what would happen if i try raising the front end a bit to match.

 

Good old truck, I'm thinking of using the add a leafs off my 83 d250.

 

Thanks! Ya it works excellent! The whole setup is built on a 2"x2" square tube skid unit.
So if I ever want to remove it you pull 2 bolts and a plug (for the lights) hook on too the welder and it all comes up and out. Welder,tool boxes and head ache rack all as one.

 

What welder is that? Ranger 8?

 

Yep that's my Lincoln ranger 8, I also have a miller big 400 diesel.

 

i think i have heard of people using those stock add a leaf kits off a d250 on a 150 to increase hauling capacity and i think they might have also lifted the trucks a bit. i think rock auto has a kit that is similar to the stock setup off a d250

 

Nice! I'm looking at a Miller 280 Trailblazer on craigslist for $3000 right now.

 

Is that just cutting down a f250d spring, or a kit. I can pick up a couple leafs in the JY.

 

The trailblazers are great welders! A good friend of mine has one on his dodge and loves it.
