Default AC

My ac doesn't work I replaced all the lines and dryer and oil rings I pulled vacuum and no leaks. I charged the system with 134 a and the compressor kicks on and off a ought every thirty seconds. I still don't have cold air and my dryer is getting hot. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be going on?

As Sean pointed out - the high and low-side pressures would be good to know.

Some thoughts -
* plugged orifice tube
* insufficient air flow through condensor - bad fan, clogged fins, etc.
* over/under-charged

You want yer low side relatively low...and the high side should be 100lbs over the outside ambient temp. So if it's 70 out...should be approx 170. Thats what I go by but it's diff on lots of ac systems. If you put to much in it won't cool either.

First you need to clean out the air conditioner with a cleaning can that cost about 10 bucks. Next you have to put about 15% less r-134 then what it says I assume you are still runing the R-12 system, so do that and your problem should be soved.
