This is weird... I occasionally and randomly have the same problem -- abs light and e-brake lights both just kinda on... Not related to level of the fluid as I've had. I wonder if it's some kinda electrical glitch... or maybe a creative way to not add another light but have a way for the truck to display low level... I can't remember if there's a connector on the master cylinder or not...
