ABS/Brake Light....
My abs/brake light just came on while i was driving..when i got home n got out of my truck there was smoke coming from my rear brakes n smelt...any ideas?

One idea, yes. Sounds like the rear brake is locking up which would cause the smoke and smell. Gotta pull the drum off to see why. (Blown brake cylinder? Broken adjustment cable? Who knows) Whatever happened may have broken the abs sensor on that wheel and triggered the light.

I had the same thing happen on my 91 I did a brake job new shoes wheel cylinders springs. It happened again
it turned out to be the master cylinder. it was not leaking but something in the resavor not working rite.

i might just replace the brakes (drums,shoes,wheel cylinder) before i even think about the master cylinder....
