Default ABS and BRAKE light on

i loaded up my fourwheeler into the bed of the truck drove down the road a couple miles and my ABS light and the parking brake light came on. i stopped and checked the fluid it was a little low but my brakes feel exactly the same they aren't spongey at all. i followed all the brake lines and there's no leaks on em. any ideas what would cause both lights to come on? 95 302 5 speed and only has rear abs. thanks in advance

Probably because of brake bads wear out fluid level lowered a bit, and that caused both lights to turn on

Pull up on your E-brake to make sure it's contacting the switch that shut off the warning light circuit. Also make sure the float switch is floating & not wedged against the bottom of the master cylinder.

My Rear ABS light was on when I got my truck. I found a wire under the dashboard that had been disconnected, so I reconnected it and the light went away. The rear ABS seems to work now. I don't know why both would come on at once though.

i did pull up on the ebrake to make sure it was all the way up but the thing is 99% of the time my parking brake light doesnt come on when the ebrake is set. the float isnt stuck i just checked it. i did notice theres a green wire that runs with the harness into the master cylinder but it's loose and doesn't plug into anything but it doesn't look like it could go anywhere

add some fluid and see if something will change. Low fluid level is a very common cause for both ABS and e-brake lights to come on at the same time

When there is a brake fault both the BRAKE and ABS lights come on. There is air in the system. You probably have a leak you haven't found yet.
