hey thanks alot for your input! ill try that, the only thing is my speedometer works fine and isnt off at all.....could the speed sensor still be bad???thanks!

Yes, I think it could still be bad, or the wires may also be bad. I'm not certain however, through deductive reasoning, I would think the fluctuation speedometer would be the wires and the trans issues would be the sensor itself. I didn't have any trans issues until I installed a bad sensor. When I put in a known good sensor and replaced the wires, my speedo and my trans both worked fine! That sensor isn't too expensive so it should be worth it to try, just make sure you get the new one seated all the way or it will act up also.

Just a side note too, if your rear end is going out, a lot of metal shavings could interfere with the sensor as it uses magnetic fields to operate. But if you aren't hearing and growling or other unusual noises, I think you'll be okay.

Okay, i never replaced anything and i took it for a longer drive and its completly fine now!? the oly thing i can think of is i had things unplugged and it may have needed time to gain memory? idk but its great now!
