Default 96 custom Steering wheel

I'm thinking of changing the Steering Wheel on my 96 and of course dumping the Airbag. gotta wonder about a 15 year airbag anyways.

Any reason not to? Easy? Dangerous? Any guides or know anybody online who has info?

Thanks.

You'll think i"m kidding.. but I want this.

maybe something like this:

seen a few youtube guides. looks like no big deal beyond safety on the airbag.

Not clear on what adapter yet.

Your column doesn't look like it will take to wheel changes very well, particularly in the looks department. If you really want to change the wheel and want it to look good then you might want to consider changing the column. Check around here: http://www.ididitinc.com/universal_s...lumn_shift.htm

if you're scared of having the airbag pop your facehole, find your crash sensor and smack it to deploy the airbag. not the best way to do things but at least your face isnt in explode territory

According to Grant it will fit, though not sure what adapter I need. I suspect it will look something like this with a adapter that reduces. Since I don't have cruise control it don't seem too bad. Not sure about prices, but those columns look like they will cost more than what I paid for the truck.
