Default 95 302 will not start

i have a 95 302. the motor blew up so i got another one and put in it. before i did that i put all new gaskets on it put in and all back together. tried to start it would only turn over halfway. so i re did the ignition timing and will crank and crank but wont start. the one time it sounded like the one piston fired but that was it. its getting spark and the fuel pressure is good. what could be wrong as to why it wont start. ive checked everything as many times as i could possibly check. give me any ideas as to what the problem is. i cant figure it out. is the motor i got junk. it looked all good when i did the gaskets in it. help me

I had that problem on both my rebuilds. It was my timing. I was off both times had to figure out where dizzy was at #1 tdc. Then looked at rotor bug reset wires to that tdc. Fired right off both times.
