Default 93 4.9 exhaust?

Hi all,
New guy here and glad to find such an active, informative site.

I recently picked up a 93 4.9 stick and have been getting back in shape. The manifold on this truck runs to what appears to been 2 cats and the it is just cut off behind the second cat.
I was hoping for some suggestions on how improve this for a little better sound and do even need these cats, if they are both indeed cats?
I really appreciate any and all suggestions.

Thanks,
Jamie

I've been told the first is the cat second is a resonator. But I deleted mine and have a flowmaster 40 dumped under the cab. It sounds nice and deep for a six cylinder.

I got rid of both. But check and see what your emission laws are. Make sure there are no sniffer or visual checks.

Some both are cats, some only one is. Hollow them out so it looks like they're still there.

Yeah it's safer the way Sean said. Just get a piece of rebar and a shop vac.

No checks, but they can look if they want to be dicks.
