One suggestion I have: new wheels? Sorry but those remind me of 2nd gen explorer wheels.
Truck looks like it has lots of potential otherwise.

Love my HID/Halo lights, just waiting on getting a black grill to pull it together. I haven't had to use my High beems (brights) since I put these puppies on last year. Makes a 200% difference with visibility.

E-fan is always one of my first suggestions, you will feel a power increase right away and it really turns down the engine noise. Can be done for under $100;
This controller ($20)
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...=267187_9581_0
A fan from a 98-05 chrysler (300, sebring, etc..), dual speed dual fans, perfect fit. ($30-50)
Some relays, wire, and maybe a switch if you want a manual on option.

Of course then you should upgrade to a 130amp 3g alternator (TYC from rockauto $110 shipped), replace the charge wire with 2 or 4ga, add a 150amp fuse/breaker, use wire you replaced to beef up the battery ground>chassis.

I was on the fence about needing 130amps, but I did it and love it. I can have the stereo cranked (pushing 500w amp/sub), AC on full blast, lights on, and nothing even dims while sitting at a stop light.

As for other things to do:
Clean up chassis grounds
Clean up all connectors with quick drying electronic clean
Replace brake fluid entirely (most people forget)
Check rear brake lines
Wheel bearing (inner and outer)
Upper/lower ball joints
Check all of your bushings
Diff fluid
Pads/shoes, drums and rotors.

I'd say no to the green grille and pumpkin. One of my kids did that with one of his rangers and it really didn't look as good as it sounded.
