Default 92 Flareside project / updates

hey guys decided to start a thread instead of posting on what’s did you do to your truck.
Bought it about 3-4 weeks ago 92 F150 flareside 5.8L rwd XLT 124k miles fresh rebuilt tranny fuel tank fuel pump wires plugs and plenty more. Picked it up for $1000 bucks from a friends dad. He ownedr for 15 years I’m the third owner. Only has 2 small spots of rust on the body other then that it runs and drives great.
Couple things done already and still more to come
new tires
plasti-dipped wheels
all new speakers
two 14 inch light bars installed.
Cleaned the carpets and have it a good wash.
Still want to lower it and level it out
add a sub and deck
full exhaust headers to tip

Day I pick it up

Looking good, but that bed hitch doesn't bode well for the drivetrain & suspension... Did the PO tow heavy with it?

You should collect all the truck's details & put them into your signature:

Removed the front brush gaurd painted the grille and decided the paint the front bumper using plasti-dip and then ran out of it so it’s 75% covered gotta finish and apply another coat. So far I like it deciding whether or not I want to paint the gaurd black and put it back on. Also tried to restore the tail lights.

Try some 3000 grit sandpaper and water over those tail lights followed by some polish. Should have those lights looking good as new. Truck is starting to come around. Nice job!

Thanks I used the 3m headlight kit just missing one of the pads. I’ll definitely go over it again.

Finished spraying the front bumper did the runners and the back bumper too. They’ll need another coat just really windy today. Also added my Billy Murray chive sticker :-)

If you're blacking-out chrome, I'd do it ALL. It just looks weird with some still shiny. You can get factory black w/s trim from '94-97s.

Planning on the windshield trim, side mirrors, and tailgate trim probably not the door handles i feel like it would rub off quick.
