Default 92 engine trouble. PLEASE help

Hey. i have a 92 f150 with the 300 straight 6. Last week i started it up after work and it started running really rough almost like its mis firing. when i give it gas slowly it with rev up but if i hit the throttle hard it will bog down and almost stall. I have replaced the idle air control valve, the tps, fuel regulator, map sensor, rotor button and cap, plugs and wires, and the fuel filter. What else could cause my engine trouble? Please help.

i have the same exact truck........92 ford f150 xlt 300 6 cy,stick......

check both your coil and module at autozone for free.you've already fixed or checked all the things i was going to mention except the fuel pump itself.maybe it's going out on ya.fuel pressure gauge test time.also replace the distributor first (cheapest route first).

module is hard to find.it's on the right side, all the way in the back,1' down.....rectangle looking thing, mounted to the firewall.i'll tell you right now,it's NOT fun getting it out.2 screws hold it in,but getting to it? good luck lol.

What module are you referring too? The ignition control module is mounted to the driver fender below the EEC test port.

im referring to the ICM.your problem could be the pcm if not the ICM.your issue doesnt sound like any ive came across,YET.we replaced our module regardless.it was good to begin with.it doesnt hurt to check at autozone free, hop at it.once tested and says its bad, there ya go

also, you didnt mention your plugs i dont think.if you havent changed them in awhile then id do that NOW.id also get a new distributor, not the distributor cap.mine wore out and we changed it too.

Pull the codes. When ever you work on a engine always reset the computer, has this been done? The computer needs to reset the idle. This takes i think about 10-15 minites. Replaceing sensors don`t fix a bad wire so testing power to the sensors need to be done.Check your timing. Also Pull the hose off the booster and test the vac. When I pull a fuel filter I check if any water is in there. Not sure if the 600 has injectors but try injector cleaner in the tank if it does. I use the red bootle of heet,it helps with water also.

I had what sounds like a similar problem. My ignition coil was old and corroded and it was shorting out on its bracket, not sending the current to the plugs every time it sparked. A new coil fixed everything.

Turns out it was the EEC. I've always heard that the computers hardly ever go out on Fords. Part is coming in on Wed. Let you know the result when i get it in. Thanks for all the advice
