Default 92 5.0 intake

i have a 92 flareside 5l and i picked up a 5.0 h.o mustang upper and lower intake, throttle body, and spacer

i was wondering if this will give me a significant boost in power or should i just forget about putting it all on.

I think everyone says the truck intake flows better than the Mustang stuff. Someone else will know for sure and post soon.

I've done this with my other 302...its a headache, your throttle cable will barely fit and your fuel rail from the truck will not work. The pressure regulator gets in the way. The mustang fuel rail has the hose ports on the front passenger so you would have to make long *** fuel lines to reach them. I wouldnt do it...like I said from experience its a pain.

People don't think of the little stuff. The guy that told you that probably was only thinking that the parts will physically bolt to the engine. Still, if it were the better intake then I'd do it.

Unless it is a GT40 intake or something similar, stick with the truck intake. If you are going to port it anyways, port the truck intake. By porting the mustang intake you may get close to the same flow as the stock truck intake but not much, if any, better.

Besides you might want to consider the mustang upper is made for mass air and the truck is speed density, you will probably have to get a new air intake or adapt from a one hole to your 2 hole hose, and if I am not mistaken the hp mustang manifolds are based on the truck lower, by the looks of them.
