Default 8.8 gear and diff swap

Ok, I have a 1995 F150 4x4 with and I found a steal ($250) on 4.10 gears and a LSD and an i beam with the gears in it that was swapped into a truck for a few 1,000 miles then the axles were pulled and the truck scraped.

The I beam has the gears still in it but the LSD and rear gears are out.

My question is about how much would it be for a shop just to swap the 4.10's and LSD into my 8.8 rear axle?

I have the tools to swap the i beam but don't have a press or access to a press for the rear gear swap

For a shop to do not very much, last one we did was about 3 hours of labor plus some parts like the gear oil and new cover.

My mechanic/family friend charges about $50-$60 an hour. So that's about $200-$300 labor and more than likely a few parts.

Now since the gears are used do I even need a press?

it costs about $500-600 a axle if they have to buy the parts, they will probably need a rebuild kit for the axle so 200-300 seems like a good ball park number to install the gears.

Why would you want the limited slip? worst of both worlds.

why would you want a open dif offroad and why would you want a locker in a daily driver? limited slip is the best of both worlds.

Explain what you mean, I'm interested what your product of choice would be? I have two 2wd 95's, one has ls and one has helical carrier. The helical is much easier to keep in a straight line running on snow covered roads.
