i wouldn't base it by the oil pressure if i were you.... i bought a truck one time and drove it for a month.... i had a feeling that it burned a little bit of oil, but the oil pressure was perfect... so i just went on.... checked the oil a few days after that and it was 3 quarts low.... your truck has me stumped.... i dont really know what i would do if i were in your shoes..... maybe find a dipstick out of another 5.0??? just to be on the safe side

is it an aftermarket pan? Check the capacities section in your owners manual. Don't the trucks with a tow package hold an extra quart due to an oil cooler or something?

Would check to see if you oil filter is relocated from side of block, or aftermarket oil pan, or if you have an oil cooler, all things that could increase oil capacity.

alright i put the 7th quart in, with 6 in it the oil was right at the add 1 quart mark on the bottom.... i put in the 7th and it only moved up on the stick like 1/4 inch.... im not adding more than 7... ill run it how it is, and just add 7 each oil change.

what do you guys think?
