Default 4x4 conversion

My neighbor is turning a 1994 F-150 5.8 L into a 4x4. He is pretty much done. Front axle, transmission, transfer case, drive shafts all installed. He has installed a Ford f-150 1985 transmission and transfer case. This is where the problem lies, the tranny. The wires (harness) going to these transmissions are totally different. The 85 has two plugs with 4 wires total, the 94 has two plugs with 16 wires. So my question is do you have such an adapter or any advise for him besides getting a transmission from a 94, or can you direct me to some one who might? If you have a harness how much and can you provide a image to me? I really do thank you in advance for your help because I'm sick of looking at this thing on jack stands each and every time I look out my front windows.

Its not so easy as just getting an adapter harness and plugging it in. They worked on vacuum and linkage. Those wires are more likely ford the park/neutral sensor and reverse lights.

Yea man wrong transmission. You can make it work though. It will work without any wires plugged in, that tranny isn't electronically controlled.
