If I do end up regearing, which ratio do you think works best for 33" tires and the mazda tranny?
I don't tow much, she's mainly just a driver.

Can I run a 3.55 without murdering my gas mpg.?

I was very happy at the pump.
I was thinking 3.08s before.
What about LS?

I'd run 3.55s with 33s. Also, instead of paying to regear, just find you another 8.8" from a junkyard with the gearing in the rear axle that you want. Then you can grab the front out of the same truck. That's how I went from 2wd with 2.73s to 4x4 with 3.55s. The set of axles ended up costing me less than $200.

Saw lots of 3.55s there.
Now should I look for limited slip?

What kind of mpgs are you getting with the 3.55s?
It is my daily driver so I'd like to keep it at 13
