Default 3rd Brake Light

My 92 does not have a third brake light above the window, factory as the older ones are. I want to put extra lights in somewhere, and possibly a third in my camper shell. Depending on the location (if two on the sides or one in the middle) I may want them to not blink with the turn signal but still run with parking light and brakes. Where could I tap in to just the brake light power and not the blinker? I know the taillights get only ground, bright, and dim. So tapping there would get me the turn signal...

You have to go to the brake light switch. From there it goes into the multi function switch which make it flash accordingly. If you want it right, I believe 3rd brake lights get their own brake switch so you have at least some brake lights if one system fails. If you watch you'll notice many 3rd brake lights come on a split second before or after the others.

Ok that's what I thought, thank you. I dont think I'll put a second switch in, if my lights failed there wouldn't be any anyways. Do you happen to know what kind of switch it is? I know its momentary off, being pressed while the pedal is there but is it negative or positive and all that?

It's a positive switch.
