Put in the 5.8. The wiring harness is the same for 5.0 or 5.8, other than possibly having to extend a few wires. If the 5.8 was MAP you might have to change a few sensors that won't plug in. The '96 5.8 under 8500 pounds was MAF, so there is a computer available for it but isn't absolutely necessary although I would want it.

So the 351w is MAP or Speed Density and in my truck I have a 302 with MAF but your saying that the harness will plug in and work fine except for a maybe a few other wires? What will I have to change on my truck or this motor to make it work?
