Default 2wd to 4wd

So I'm going 4x4 with my 96 i6 5speed f150. All the parts are gonna cost me about 250 to 300 ( I work at a junk yard). My problem is the transfer case.
I could get a zf5 transfer case and trans but would it bolt up To my i6?bOr I could grab a transfer case from an m5od, but.... Will that bolt up to my 2wd?

I know if I get a zf I have to have the trans with it.
Would it be the same with an m5?

Any help would be great

The ZF would have to be from a small block Ford (300,302,351). Also the transfer case won't bolt up directly to the 2wd M5OD since the output shafts are different lengths, so either find a 4x4 M5OD or swap the shafts to you're 2wd one.

The ZF i'm pretty sure is an almost direct bolt in, same slave cylinder, starter and might need a little modification to fit the center support.

Awesome haha, thats what I did not want to hear. But it's alright. The zf that I had in mind was backed to a 460 so looks like that's out. I'll have to keep my eyes out for something good then.
