Default 1995 mass air conversion

Heres the deal, I got 1995 5.8l non mass air, truck was built in late '94. Just rebuilt the engine, did a cam, nothing radical similair to an e-cam, and edelbrock heads, and headers everything else is stock. Throttle response is quite horrible now, my guess is its because of batch firing of the injecters, so I'm gonna go maf. My neighbour just offered to give me his high mileage '96 which has maf but its a 5.0l. Is it as simple as swapping out the computer and injecter harness to do the swap, or is there gonna be more involved. Anyone done the conversion this way?? Thanks

You would swap the underhood engine harness, computer and missing sensors from a '94-'95 5.0 automatic equipped truck. Manuals weren't MAF and '96 is OBDII.
