in my past experiences with mid 90's f150's when the key is on and ur door is open it will only ding about 5 times... for some reason on my truck when the truck is running or just in the ON position whenever the door is open it continues to ding.... any ideas??

The dingers are useless anyway, I would just unplug it or be creative and drill a hole in it while its making noise

If you unplug the chime you will lose the headlight chime. This comes on when you open the door with the headlights on. Another option is to unplug the wires going to the seat belt latch this tricks the ignition into thinking that the seat belt is latched and wont ding.

Hi Fordman
When I bought my F150 1994 there wa a buzzer that sounden 5times5 and that every half an hour... That is the sign that your airbagsystem failes in an event of crash... I've read that 1994 Ford airbags are so unrelaible that I opened the orange box under the dashboard and glue-ed the buzzer... silence at last
The chime is when your door is open and seatbelt is not fastened. I did put the male of the middle seat in the female joint in mine.... silence is returned again.
