1992 Engine harness
Hey guys, I am new to the forum and I am hoping someone can answer a couple of questions for me.
My son purchased a 1992 F150 with 4.9l inline 6.
Now dad gets to pull the engine to help him with some repairs. My questions are somewhat simple I think but I just dont seem to be able to figure them out.
1st. The main wiring harness. - I want to disconnect the main wiring harness at the large connector on the fender well rather than each individual connect on the engine but I can not figure out how this thing comes apart. I do see a small clip but that is not holding it. Is there something else that holds this large connector together?
2nd is the fuel lines. there are two lines that come up from the back of the motor. Whats the best way to get these disconnected.
Thanks in advance.
Terry

There should be a bolt holding the connector to the body, but it might be easier to disconnect the wires from the engine sensors\senders, and lay the harness out of the way, and the fuel lines can be disconnected using a fuel line tool at the fuel rail, it is easier than you think with all of the connections.
