Default Tires

I have a 1989 Ford F150 and a friend has a 2002 Ford Expidition... He bought new tires and rims for a lift... I want to know if the 2002 rims can fit on a 1989 F150... Don't want to make the trip and find out it doesn't.. just want to know... It has five holes.... thanks

Don't think so. IIRC - the Explorer has 5 bolts on a 4-1/2" diameter, that vintage F150 is 5 bolts on a 5-1/2" diameter.

That new of an Explorer might also have the 6 bolt metric as well.

he said they were from an expedition, not explorer, took the liberty of looking it up and the 5 lug expidition has a 5x135 pattern

Damn...you too...I did the exact same thing when I got my 95....

I bought a full set of 4 97 F150 tires and rims..400.00 and neither the tire nor the rims work...I found out the hard war too...

97 newer Vans fit the 96 and older trucks though

I must have tried for 5 mins., stopped, stared at it, and tried again, hoping I had a spazz attack & it would pass! Nope!
