Default 1992 5.0 performance chip

Hi ive got a 1992 5.0 5speed and im wondering if there is a performance chip that will work or even do anything to these trucks. Im looking for more horse power and alittle better gas millage. Ive also recently done a full tune up and plan to look into advancing the timing is there anything else I can do? Thanks

Do the 6Liter tuneup and forget about the chip, they're all snake oil unless you get your truck dynotuned. An engine is just an air pump, the better it inhales, the better it needs to exhale. You might also consider doing an e-fan conversion as well as running underdrive pullies.

PCN is a fake chip, it has a resister that tricks the computer, and can eventually damage the engine.

yeah our trucks (I've got a '92 5.0 as well) aren't able to use chips based on how the computer calculates and manipulates the engine. It's a set "chart" if you will with all the values and algorithms for engine manipulation, so I've heard the only way to change any of that is to build your own chip and write your own charts. I thought about it, but don't know nearly enough about it to not severely screw up my truck.
I've done the 48k volt coil, bigger wires, etc. intake, exhaust...Truck hauls now. no low end as 302s I guess just dont naturally have low end power but once it gets up it goes. it goes good.

I think im going to go with the electric fan swap and put on a high flow cat and new flowmaster 40 series muffler. That should increase my power alittle bit. And my brand new limited slip differential since my truck didnt have it stock.
