Crutchfield.com used to have a pretty extensive matrix on what size speakers would fit in the various locations of vehicles, along with their offerings.

Haven't checked them out in a while, I would assume they still offer that service.

My experience with them is that they delivered - even down to any special conversion wiring harnesses needed - but they were 'proud' of their convenience.

I think they're 5 1/4's but I'm not positive. You could play it safe and pick up some pickup truck boxes or even make your own to fit some nice 6x9's behind the seat.

Not aware of dash speakers, unless they were custom-installed. Mine came with only the door speakers.

As Crutchfield has listed - they were 6-1/2" rounds. Sounds right - I put some Infinity's in the doors and some Pioneer TS-TRX1000s boxes behind the seat with a JCWhitney 100WPC amp.

yeah they are 6.5" i just replaced my door speakers on my 1989 f 150. but what i did was buy some 6.75 kickers and tricmed the metal to fit them and it turned out great. make sure when you install your new speakers that your careful pulling the panel and puting it back on cause the tabs can snap real easy you just have to work slow and gentile

good luck

on my truck i bought some rear speaker holders that attach to the wall, and they fit 6x9's nicely. really gives my truck a kind of surround sound like feel
