if i remove neg terminal hook volt meter to terminal and battery post i have a major draw i have unplugged every connector on the truck when i unplug altanator the draws goes away so i replaced the alt. no change also atl. dosent seem to be charging 11.60 .alt tested good on test machine.i removed alt harness and cheched every inch of it its good. 89 f150 5spd 245000 miles 4.9

 

Welcome to the forum! I'm not sure about your year, but if the voltage regulator is separated with alternator, it's also to be tested.

 

I would check the ignition switch.
