hvac fan runs a few minutes after cutting truck off
I've had my 89 f-150 about 2 months now and I've noticed since it's getting warmer and after a drive I shut the key off and the hvac blower motor runs several minutes and shuts itself off.if I turn the key on the motor cuts off.i've got a friend with a 92 f-250 and he says his does the same thing and he thought it was meant to do this to help cool off the engine.does this sound right?i just want to be sure before I worry over this.

what engine? are you sure it is the HVAC fan? did you open the hood and feel the box?
the late 80's I6 engines had a cooling fan on the engine by the intake, if i'm not mistaken they ran after the truck shut off.
