Default Inline 6 engine question

Hello, I just picked up an '85 F-150 4x4 with the inline 6 and carbureted. I was replacing the vacuum lines today and noticed a lot of the lines were either broken off, or dry rotted and leaking. The truck was still running fine with all the bad lines. So my question is, how many of them can I take off completely and still have the truck run normally? The smog pump is already disconnected, and there are quite a few that are either blocked off or disconnected. Thanks for any help you may have...

I'm posting via my iPhone, and not quite sure how to post a pic with it. I can barely operate the phone itself... Could I send a pic via email or txt, or personal message through the forum if I can figure it out?

you could remove all except the choke pull off and map sensor without abnormal running, but things like the egr and brake booster and cabin fan control all need vacuum too.

Thanks for the replies, I plan on removing everything except what you mentioned in your reply. Do you know if the charcoal canister can be removed?

It can be, but i would leave it unless u are putting a new carb on it without an overflow, otherwise ur carb wont perform well or u will spray gas around under the hood. But keeping it xonnected will keep any overflow in ur tanks which saves money

It's for gas fumes, remove it and the truck will stink like gas.
