Default Yellow cream in oil

I checked my oil today and noticed that their was yellow fluid on my dipstick so I opened up my oil filler cap and a gob of yellow cream was pooled up on the inside of the cap and smeared down the tube. I did an oil change not that long ago and before the change I never saw this yellow cream but I did notice rust on the dipstick. Whats going on here? Should I be worried? Thanks

Sounds like you have coolant in the oil which would cause more of a white milky substance. How's the coolant level? One for sure why to find out is take an oil sample and have it put through an oil analysis.

ya, somehow u got water in there, i know on my rig when i lived on the coast, it had soo many oil leaks and with the humidity that every now and then i would get moisture into the block (i also had a habit of driving through the river occasionally heh) so there are other ways it can happen, something to keep an eye on at the very least

Good chance its just condensation, winter time will do that with short trips where the engine dosen't always get up to temp. If you are concerned, check the coolant level and see if there is bulbing from the rad or in the overflow tank. You can also visually inspect plugs if one looks like its been steam cleaned.

Its not white but I thought it might have been coolant. I know the truck warms up fast but never gets hotter than the R in normal. I'll check the plugs and overflow tank. If it is condensation how can I stop it?

Do you have a block heater out of curiosity.

No block heater. I checked for bubbling in rad. and over flow and nothing. The plugs had some tan on but mostly clean (they are newer so that might screw with results).

Is there any gunk on the rad cap?
