It would be awesome for someone to test stock, Wagner, ATP, AFE, Vortech and see the difference. If the results were within a few degrees I think most would go with whatever was the most cost effective.

Thanks for the replies! I do tow a moderate amount of weight and we have hills in SE PA. I am also looking to add stuff to my EB that will give it the best chance to live longer.

What I am getting so far is that all of them work, perhaps one a little better than the other, and they work significantly better than stock... Makes me wonder if it is simply a $$ decision at this point.

Snow - I am stock too and was all Summer last year. 1K is a lot of dough, but seems to me this is a worthwhile upgrade.

Would be great to see some other CAC testing.
I've tested stock and Wagner, very detailed results here:

Stock looks like this:

The Wagner is such a work of art. I would've been all over one at the current pricing. The initial pricing was a bit steep at the time, though.

Wagner. I like the stock mounting location (with plenty of clearance all around), factory mounting hardware and piping, corrosion protective coating, and cfd-designed cast end-tanks. It's an impressive piece, not just bigger but better too.

I went with full-race. I wanted it mounted up higher and cooling issues for the trans and radiator is irrelevant and doesn't effect it at all. For that price you also get a charge pipe that now I don't need to spend $200+ for had I went with another intercooler. In the end, if you buy a intercooler and afe blade runner your basically the same price as a FR. That's what made up my mind.

True, I did exactly what you state...bought the AFE and Wagner independent when the FR would have been about the same price. Food for thought for anyone in the future though!

Wagner here. Fits in the stock location. Works well. I live in hot, humid Texas and tow quite often.
