I am wrong to think that they should take care of this considering a TSB has been issued concerning the vehicle stalling and replacement of the TSB is recommended under certain conditions? My vehicle has been stalling and has had all of the symptoms noted in TSB 08-5-13.

I would think that a 35K vehicle shouldn't have a tB wear out at 34K.

Why didn't you buy an aftermarket TB and install it yourself ?? It's only 4 nuts.

96 Explorer with 210K+ miles, 02 F150 with 150K+ miles and never heard of a TB failing until now. "mechanic threw it away"... to his buddies truck? Man, I would be P. O.d.

That's just what went wrong with my 05 f150 kr, truck went into Engine Fail Safe Mode and shut down on me....has just under 55,000 miles. Had to replace the TB...

Noticed my fuel mileage was getting worse...so I'm hoping now that Ive replaced the throttle body I'll see some improvement...lol.

Best bet is buy a throttle body and install it yourself. It's not very difficult. Ohterwise, get on the phone and start calling repair facilities for a quote on replacing it. With a few quotes in hand, you can make a good decision.

i believe that the 04+05s had the IAC and TPS that had to be connected to the throttle body
