Default First time F-150 buyer needs help

Hey guys i know i've posted this on here earlier and would like some advice from you guys who have boughten them already. I'm really considering this pickup. Its very clean 46K mi 5.4 liter XLT. Less than 5K mi on tires, oil always changed at 3K miles with recommended oil, has access tonneau cover.

How much would you guys pay or what do you think is a good price?
KBB-20900

Coming from an old Used Car Salesman, NO MORE THAN $14,900 (only if that's wholesale) because if it's on a dealers lot, they paid LESS than that, or if it's a "private seller" they will take LESS that that!
TRUST ME, this market will not support NADA OR Kelly Blue Book prices....
NEVER PAY RETAIL, forget about that price, pay "average" Wholesale Trade-in or don't buy it!
There's TONS of vehicles NOT SELLING!

You didn't mention what year it is OR what that price is.......... NADA or KBB, retail OR trade-in (wholesale)?

2005 XLT -- 5.4 Liter
Power windows, doors, locks, driver seat
tonneau cover access rollup
mud flaps
Single disk CD player
Tow Pkg

Pickups must be hot in the area because everytime i wait on buying one it sells.

This is from a local ford dealer. Asking 16,900.

It was a truck that an older guy used to get out to the farm then he used a 3/4 ton truck on the farm. (Central Iowa)

that's too much...you can easily get a crew cab for that minda money...i would say 15k is plenty for that truck, no offense---but 2 tones are hard to sell from what i've seen..

Just learned today that they sold a very similar truck for the 16,900 price. The pickup even had 65K on it and the guy just wanted the color of that one.

i would so pass that truck up, farmers use the hell outta there trucks, figures a dealer would tell you a BS story like that... i would look for a better priced truck IMO

look on autotrader, you will find a better price

all xlt's come with power windows, locks, keyless, single cd---so it's a pretty stripped model

I actually got to talk to the guy who owned the pickup and asked some friends who farm by the guy about him and the pickup. They do know he didn't use it for the farm work.

I think the dealers around this area are selling pickups pretty well because this pickup is priced the best out of any in the area.

ATOM- Sorry if I came off like I didn't agree with you. I'm not saying you are wrong. I'm just simply saying what I'm seeing here in Central/Western IA. I got on here to get people's advice who have boughten pickups. I'm not going to buy the pickup right now unless they can come up with a better price because I agree with you that there are better deals. I don't need a pickup at the moment as I have a very dependable car but I would like one.
