Engine swap
#21
Anyway back on topic! Sorry we derailed so miserably, Bohuntr.
So recently my 06 f10 4.6L has had a terrible knocking sound and I took it in and they said it was a cam phaser and the only way to fix it is to get a new engine. So I was looking around and saw a guy had done a engine swap from a 4.6L to a 6.2L out of a raptor and I was wondering how hard would it be to do a swap like that or even put a 5.4L in it? How much would a guy have to change?

Unless the mechanic is charging you up the wazoo for a phaser swap, there should be no reason to have to swap engines. If it is too expensive, you can find a reman 4.6 for about 3k and not have to deal with the headache of having to switch harnesses, pcm, etc.
