I always figured the edge was a little low due to the MPG only going up to 30.... My moms 300M goes up to 99 I believe, and when you are on the right hill, and let off the gas, you can get it there....

My truck shows 30 a lot ever since I reprogrammed it, It probably hits 30 8 times a day, if it would go above 30 to say 40, my mpg may be more accurate.

My edge will say 30 but then have a + sign next to it.. meaning 30 plus... the gryphon i believe changes that... But the even if it says 30+ it is still taking it into account i'm sure..

obviously, and this is the problem with the calculation analyzing instantly. sitting at a stop light at 0 miles per gallon is not the same as flooring it, opening the flood gates, and getting 0 miles per gallon. you obviously use less fuel at a stop light, yet the edge is taking a simple weighted average of all the 0's no matter if it is a stoplight or acceleration. it does not know the difference

thats why its more accurate when you average aggregate data-- ie the whole tank of gas not just look at the screen at that moment

That is the old monochrome style. It has to be sent in for a conversion.

What settings are you running? Just curious since I have not done the custom yet, just the canned, and would like to play with it a little. Especially if you can get a mile or two more per gallon and more power. I run 91 octane all the time, 4.6L STX 4X4 SCAB 2005.

U would benefit with maybe +1 timing drop ur torque converter lock in 4th to -4 and 3rd to -2... u can adjust shift points also but I've only seen disappointments in lowering the performance for gas mileage.

Would I see a big benefit from getting a gryphon with custom tune for my injen intake..? I'm just a unsure if it's worth it.

For instance if I was completely stock would the gryphon be a good upgrade from the edge?
