Ford installed remote start system
Just had the Ford factory remote start installed on my 2010 F-150. After seeing it work on a friends 2010 Sport Trac I had to get it. He is able to use the remote start then enter the vehicle without it cutting off. When I attempt to get into my F-150 is shuts off. I called Ford and was told that is the correct way for it to function and it should shut off. Anyone with similar issues?

Your stealer means "That's the way they work when we install them", cuz they might have to read the instructions otherwise. Then they might learn something new.
The instructions on how to change the programming has been posted before, but I didn't save it. I printed a copy out and took it to my stealer after getting the same answer as you.

Dealer installed it wrong
I have 2010 F150 and my dealer installed mine so it would turn off when I inserted my key. They also only gave me one remote.
They fixed both issues without barely a complaint. I climb in my truck and can do anything I want except hit the brake pedal without the truck turning off. The remote starter will lock the doors automatically when you start it.

That's just Dealer BS, had the factory unit install when I purchase my 2010 Platinum. Only way it will shutoff is if you put you're foot on the brake pedal before you put the key in the ignition and turn it to the run position.

i hate to sound stupid, but is this expensive to add to the truck from the dealer? i was wanting to get one for my truck, seeing how it won't fit in the garage, but i didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it.
