Been about 27 years since I've been there. Great Ford history!
BUT, if you want great automotive history, you have to check out the Gilmore. Largest in North America - consistently ranked in the top 5 best.

Interesting thing about the Dearborn plant is they only build short box trucks there. No 6.5 ft Supercrews are built there, let alone 8 ft box trucks of any kind.
The long box trucks come out of either Kansas or Kentucky.

You are correct, when I was there 4 years ago that is what was being built. I have a super crew 5.5 box and it was built in KC.

A few years ago my wife and I were going to do the Museum but arrived late in the day. The lady told us not to bother, we wouldn't have enough time, but to go to the Truck Factory tour. My wife was like "I don't want to do a factory tour", but off we went. We have a 2010 F150, and they were building 13's. After the first station my wife was all fired up like "look, there one JUST like ours". She ended up really enjoying the tour. We did Greenfield Village a couple years later, and still haven't done the Museum.

But is it a Super Crew? There were some Super Cab's with 6.5' boxes coming through. But since most folks want the Super Crew they were only adding 4.5 and 5.5' boxes.
Folks at the plant said this. The reason for this are the tight turns on the assembly lines.
