I am heading to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn the 1st week August as well as touring the F150 Plant, if anyone has been there before any suggestions on what to do or what not to do, we are there for 2 days, also any secrets about getting a better factory tour?

Thx Todd

Having been in many auto factories. Be very careful about taking pictures. But I'm sure they'll cover that before the tour.

Have fun.

I've done both back in 2011 and you will have a great time. The museum is amazing!!! The Dearborn truck plant is a great experience also. Keep on the lookout on the streets around there for prototypes under camo, they're everywhere! Enjoy

My boss did an 'independent' tour of Flat Rock in '14 I believe. I saw some of his pics and videos showing half built mustangs and I think fusions. Looked cool, a little different than the Japanese plants I've been to. Its funny how some things are the same and others are vastly different between companies and countries.

I wish I could have gone... Maybe our equipment will break down and I'll have to go up there to inspect it.

I have been to the Ford museum twice. Both times, I felt that I did not get to read and see everything. My suggestion, go with people that are interested in history and cars.

One year, I toured the f150 super crew plant. (By myself) Never thought that I would own one! It is great!!!

Both places are a must to see. I will go back to both. You will need two days!

Let us know how it goes for you.

I went last summer. One full day in the Museum and one day split between Greenfield Village and the truck plant. Another half day would have been great, but I was pooped. Great experience. HUGE steam engines.

I was in Greenfield village and the museum bunches of times between 67-72 ,moved home to Tn and haven't made it back up there yet.I had plans to go back in 03 or so but GFV was closed while they reworked side walks and parking lots, ended up in panama city.I still plan on going but want to get a passport and do a loop up thru Canada/ Niagara falls, hope it is still a great place to visit
