Sync Connect? CarPlay update?

I just installed part HC3Z-19A387-B in my 2016 Platinum and it works! My build date was August 5 and it came with Sync 3 v2.0.
This is the 2017 (H) SuperDuty (C3) version of the module (19A387). Since the part number for the modules in 2016 F-150 and the 2016 SuperDuty are the same (GC3Z-19A387-whatever), I would suspect that the 2017 F-150s are using this HC3Z- part as well.
And yes, the LEDs are blue.
I rather suspect that the "official" upgrade will have a slightly different part number because it will come with instructions for the installation. I also rather suspect that Ford is much like the company I work for and that the reason for the delay is that said instructions have to be vetted by the legal department and that is why there is a delay in getting it out. Clearly the part has been available since the 2017 SuperDuty started shipping.

I ordered about a two weeks ago from my local dealer (Ontario). They told me that it wasn't in stock in Canada but was in stock in the US. It came in yesterday.

From my understanding, the part GJ7Z-19A387-B is not actually the correct part for our trucks. It will work...but it's not the actual part meant to replace our current hubs. If you don't care about backlighting or Ford being stubborn about not having the right part when it goes out in the future...GJ7Z-19A387-B works. Personally, just because Ford seems to try to get out of fixing almost everything that comes their way, I'm going to get the proper part when it becomes available so I don't have to deal with explaining why me having the wrong hub didn't cause my Nav system to go out when it does.

If you're that paranoid then just pop the old hub back in before you take the truck in. But this part number was confirmed by Jim and others at Ford as compatible with the APIM and the 2.0 upgrade. I don't care about the lights, as I don't leave the compartment open when I connect my phone.

New here.. but been following for a while. Forgive me if I am breaking a rule but I ordered the HC3Z-19A387-B through this ford OEM eBay store this morning. It was shipped and I had a tracking number within 90 minutes. As of posting this there are still some in stock. Good luck guys!

Early bird gets the worm! Looking at it now I actually bought the "last one" this morning and then they re-listed it right after with a few more in stock at the link I gave. Same thing could possibly happen tomorrow for you other guys still trying. I just hope what arrives thursday is the part they listed, but judging from their reviews and history I am pretty confident it will be. In all honesty all I did was google the part number and their website and ebay store was the first to pop up so there may be others out there.

When I connect the phone I get the carplay screen that others have posted.
I also now have a carplay preferences item under sync settings and I have "Sync 3" listed under my car on the iphone carplay settings screen.

I ordered a GJ7Z19A387B from FordParts.com, but I'm not sure if the dealer actually has it in stock. I'll wait for it, anyway. Tasca was showing call for availability.
