I saw this one too.. But I'm kind of worried about the side exit. I have seen some post about the side exit damaging the rear tire overtime because of the smoke/heat or something.

IMO the ecoboost sounds the best with a straight pipe. To me it sounds awesome at idle and in the lower rpm ranges, but after 3k rpms or so that's when the true nature of the v6 sound comes out and it doesn't sound good. Here is a video I found where a guy removed the exhaust just to get the effect of the sound of a straight pipe on a 2.7. I don't know about everyone else but I like the rumble of the exhaust as well as the turbo whistle. It's no v8 but it doesn't sound awful to me either. What do y'all think?

It might cause for CEL to come out.. The best one I heard so far is the side exit with del resonator.

Personally, I would not change the exhaust on my EB. I have heard one done before and it reminds me of the rice burner cars that put the big coffee can looking thing on the back and sounds like crap. Someone here had a great analogy on another thread about this subject; "It sounds like an angry bumble bee trapped in a can".

AmericanMuscle/Magnaflow offers 4 different styles of that MF Series System so you can pick your exit

Dual Side - Before the Rear Passenger Tire
Dual Side - After the Rear Passenger Tire
Single Side - After the Rear Passenger Tires
Split Side - Behind both Rear Tires

I will probably pick up the Split Side, since most of my trucks had the rear exit set up or the Passenger Side Exit. Just want to be different this time

I know, it's a 3.5 and not the 2.7, but this is the best sounding exhaust I've heard for the EB. At least to my ears. Unfortunately, if you want a really great sounding motor, you'll have to find 2 more cylinders and lose the turbos. Corsa DB with resonator pipe delete.

Hi Badfinger, a few have speculated about this, but in reality with the truck moving at speed and the exhaust gases mixing with the rest of the outside air, there is no effect on the rear tire. We are not aware of any cases of damage occurring from this system, but as Matt21 mentioned, we also offer a few other systems with different exits if you didn't prefer this style!
