Man I'd like to see a pic of that button missing. I am missing the seat bolt covers and the plugs on the carpet. Ford really rushed the **** outta these trucks, they could have slowed down a little bit and paid more attention to detail.

This is what I should have.

This is what came with the truck.

Has anyone pulled their sink fuse and amp fuse and drive their truck to see what the sound would be without the artificial noise? And would that generate a trouble code in the system?

Agreed. I'm assuming everyone "test drove" their EBs and "heard" the engine before plunking down their hard earned coin for it.... Maybe not

There wasn't anything to test drive when I ordered mine. So nope I didn't hear it. It doesn't bother me, but if I had the option to turn it off I would.

The only reason I really don't like the fake noise is that it prevents you from upgrading stereo equipment without getting a new head unit. Someone mentioned trying to swap in the head unit from a 5.0 model since it doesn't have the enhancement software, but I think the cost would be upwards of $1000. Anyone want to give it a shot?

This thread is brought to you by 5.0 owners who are jealous because they can't get a fake diesel sound track!
