Default 2015 tire upgrade problems

Hello to all ,newbie to forum and to Ford trucks. After a couple of weeks of owning a 2015 F-150 Lariat super crew I decided I needed more aggressive tires than the factory original Goodyear Fortitude ht so I bought a set of BFG All Terrain KO2's. The next day I was driving and the message center went off and said service advance track and hill descent control, I pushed the OK button on the steering wheel and it went away but came back a few minutes later. I took the truck back to dealer and they ran tests on it and said that the wheel sensors were reading differently than the speedometer and only reason they could think of was because of the heavier tires and stiffer sidewalls, they want me to put back on the original tires to see if problem goes away. I put on the same size 275-65-18 tires as the originals just in a 10 ply instead of the 116 T load rating the originals were. has anyone else had this problem? when the service message comes up I also do not have cruise control or the auto stop/ start function work.

I put LT Goodyear Duratrac on my truck (XLT with FX4) and I don't have this problem.

If your cruise control isn't working either, maybe it could be the ABS sensor.

Well I went back to dealer and they put on a set of wheels and tires on from a truck on the lot, and I drove back home and so far no more advance trac or hill descent lights have come on. Ill drive it a lot more tomorrow and will see if the 10 ply BFG's were actually the problem, my tire dealer called them and told them he didn't believe that a LT tire in the same exact size could cause any issues.

You sir have the service advance track gremlin. It was common on the first gen electric stearing f150 11-14, appears to be starting to crop up on the 15. It has nothing to do with tires. Put your new tires back on, if and when it happens again soon as the warning comes on hit your blinkers most likely they won't blink and also go to the screen with the inclinometer and turn you're wheels see if it registers. If these all happen you have something bad in the electric stearing. I had my 11 in 3 or 4 times before they finally had it happen to,them at the dealer and pulled codes, it would reset when I turned the truck off. They replaced the entire rack an pinion system.

This

You have an electrical gremlin, nothing to do with changing tires
