Default whats the size of the exhaust piping off manifold

hey does anybody know the size of the piping that comes off the manifolds on 5.0 powered f150? im going to buy 2.25 piping to run true duals and need to know if i need adapters to get it connected there... i would cut it and meassure it been since i need to drive the truck to get the parts id rather not run it threw town right off the headers.. thanks for any info.

They are either 2" or 2 1/4 but i'm leaning more towards the 2" pipe

I think my 4.9 has 2.25.

My 91 5.0 has 2.25" after the cats, but I upped it after the cats to 2.5" single stock exit, i'm not sure what size it is before the cats since you mentioned true duals.

it looks like 2.25. was just wanting to make sure..any body give me any ideas on a couple cheap mufflers that sound decnt? looking for all kinds of raspyness if you know what i mean. thanks a lot guys

I got a 2.5" Cherrybomb glasspack as my muffler with full length 2.5" exhaust system using stock exit. Sounds really good, mellow at cruise, loud at WOT, no cabin drone whatsoever, not too raspy though. it was raspy like crazy when I bought the truck, PO just had a 2.25" glasspack welded onto pipe immediately after cats.

I have a glasspack on my truck i have a stanless steel y pipe and a cheap cat on there and it sounds nice even in idle if you can swing 90 bucks get a super 44 or 50 series they sound the best for the 4.9l
