I want to start pulling my head, but I just don't feel like it right now. I did take this picture though:

So I don't mix up the heater hoses, they're both 5/8.

Not much point yet, but I did air them up to move the truck to the slab and only one is flat right now.

And the verdict, I didn't crack the head again. Just blew the gasket. You can see the stains from the water:

Saves me $100. I'm about to check gasket prices to see if it will be cheaper to buy the couple gaskets I need instead of another head set.

Felpro are $79 for the head set. According to autozone

No, $53 for the head set at AutoZone. Mine's an '87 but '88 is cheaper and comes with a rubber valve cover gasket instead of crappy cork. I can get just the gaskets I need for $43 or opt for the severe duty head gasket for $53 for just the gaskets I need.
