Rifle storage

Yea, no, I mean like... you know that something is happening on the way back through to your home, and you have absolutely no way to move around it to avoid it (read: riots on the only thoroughfare ahead of you), so you get out, unlock it all, stick it in the seat beside you and keep going. Then when you're home you lock it back up.
It's definitely not meant to be "heat of the moment" type deployment.

"riots on my way home? ... alright ... AR15 ready to go and next to me... let's shoot some bad guys and fight my way through!"
realistic scenario

Hey I'm not saying "LET'S GO MESS SOME FOLKS UP" -- I'm just telling you the logic I've seen.

yeah. just don't see the point to spend $$$ and lock your gun under the rear seat when going to the range or hunting when a pelican case is 20 times more practical... because you still need the case in most cases when carrying that rifle from the truck to the range building

Super Crew - DIY Verticle Rifle Rack
So here's a link to the <$50 Vertical Rifle Rack that I built for my 2013 Screw.

And to give you an idea of what it looks like, here's a picture...
Rack in up position. With seats down, you are ready to hunt or transport.

L/H or R/H Seat Release.
I have a 2017 Lariat Super Crew and I had thought about how to release the driver rear seat, Also for gun carry and concealment. All of your solutions work but I wanted something that looks factory installed.
I found a company, Built Right Industries, that has in my opinion made a factory look seat release as if it had come from Ford as a factory option.
They can be reached at www.builtrightind.com. Hope this helps.
