Well if you waiting for something to go wrong, - those fan clutches last forever lol.

I believe it, it still does its job pretty well. I hate fixing stuff that isn't broken and the E-Fans aren't going to be a huge improvement, hence why I can wait. Ill probably persuade myself into it one day.

At times those fan clutches get in the way. Specially when you want to hear power and slightly impress gaukers (it's a header thing) all you hear is that stupid thing. Doesn't happen often, but it happens.

The Mark VII fans pull more CFM (I've got the numbers somewhere's) and are actually larger in size. Therefore you cover more surface area on the radiator. When I put the Taurus fan on my Mustang, I actually incorporated it into the factory shroud to improve the surface area. I want to do the same thing on my F150.

I agree White. The Mark fan and the SHO fans are basically the same animal. Much improved CFM over the stock Taurus fans. Almost 2 to 1 if I remember the exact numbers. We have so few Marks here, but had a number of SHO's floating around for some time. They are like every other old sedan, a dying breed and becoming rarer by the day.

Yours is a nice clean set up shown in the bottom picture. Some guys just throw a couple zip ties (white ones even, lol) and run the wiring to a keyed switch. I've always wondered what would happen and how long it would take, if they forgot to turn on the fan. 20 minutes maybe before it became a metal brick? lol

I'll tell you a little secret. The 95-98 T-Bird and Cougars with a 4.6 used the same fan as the Mark VII.

Yes sir you are correct. Dual speed, high output fan. I believe the one out of the SC is also the same.

I've found those 1990-1995 Taurus fans for $80-100 brand new. Dorman has one that is brand new with warranty for under $100 found here. A good controller is almost as much as the whole fan assembly.

Huh , didn't know that one. I know the Mark VIII came about in 98, - my ex worked on the launch team at Wixom at the time.

Wow, how did a miss this, - thanks!

Haven't heard too many complaints on the Mark VIII in the past, just that they can pull some juice at startup, but it was more than that, I'd have to look some info up, but it all revolves around power, the more juice they pull, the more power it'll rob from the engine.
